Flying with Puppy

If you live on the other island, not on big island, and you are coming to pick up your puppy, at Hilo airport,

Please check with Hawaiian Airline and/or Southwest Airline for their requirements.

Hawaiian Airline:

Encourage you to provide 48 hours advance notification of your intent to travel with your pet by contacting Reservations Department at 1-800-367-5320

You will need a soft side bag which fits comfortably under the airplane seat in front of you.
(maximum dimention: 16inch x 10inch x 9.5inch)

The bag has to have 4 side air ventalation

There is a $35. fee for pets traveling in the passenger cabin on Hawaiian Air inter-island flights.



Southwest Airlines:

Reservations must be made in advance by calling Southwest Airline 1-800-435-9792

Soft-sided & hard-sided carriers specifically designed as pet carriers are acceptable in-cabin Southwest Air.
(maximum dimensions of 18.5" longx 8.5" high x 13.5" wide.)

There is a $125. in-cabin pet fare by Southwest Air.



 

Care Package will be given to customers who pick their puppy up in Hilo.
